W grudniu 1918 r. na terenie Bochni zacz\u0105\u0142 si\u0119 formowa\u0107 pu\u0142k piechoty ziemi boche\u0144skiej. Inicjatorem powstania pu\u0142ku by\u0142 por. Ludwik Pi\u0105tkowski. W sk\u0142ad pu\u0142ku weszli cz\u0142onkowie Polskiej Organizacji Wojskowej z powiat\u00f3w: Bochnia, Gorlice i Gryb\u00f3w oraz \u017co\u0142nierze by\u0142ej armii austro-w\u0119gierskiej. 1 stycznia 1919 r. dow\u00f3dca pu\u0142ku pp\u0142k Wilhelm Fory\u015b wyda\u0142 pierwszy rozkaz pu\u0142kowy. Tak\u017ce w styczniu pu\u0142k otrzyma\u0142 nazw\u0119 \u2013 pocz\u0105tkowo 16, a nast\u0119pnie 15. pu\u0142k piechoty. Do po\u0142owy marca sformowano I batalion oraz zawi\u0105zki II i III. Pierwszy batalion \u00a0mjr. J\u00f3zefa Wolfa liczy\u0142 16 oficer\u00f3w i chor\u0105\u017cych\u00a0 oraz 436 szeregowc\u00f3w w trzech kompaniach strzeleckich i kompanii karabin\u00f3w maszynowych.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 marca 1919 r. pierwszy batalion 15. pp mjr J\u00f3zefa Wolfa wyruszy\u0142 na lini\u0119 frontu na wsch\u00f3d od Przemy\u015bla, do S\u0105dowej Wiszni.<\/span><\/p>\n
